I love my job! I really do. Being a Swansea family photographer enables me to meet up with lovely people like Linda, Ian & Nia on the beach in the beautiful Rhossilli. I’ve lived in Swansea for the past 7 or 8 years and I’m ashamed to say I’ve been to Rhossilli once, twice at the most but never to the beach. Now, I have to be honest, for anyone local to the area you’ll know what I mean when I say the walk down the steps to the beach had me feeling anxious to say the least about how I would get back up in 28 degree heat and carrying a big kit bag and 2 cameras, but I managed it – eventually!
This was Nia’s first time on the beach and we were all a little nervous and excited to see what she made of the lovely warm sand beneath her feet. After a little walk around with Mum & Dad she was great and we only had real tears once! She loved trying to make sand castles with her new bucket and spade and I half expected her to pop a little bit of sand in her mouth but she didn’t even try.
After lots of smiles and sand castles we went back up the steps and to my amazement Dad pretty much flew up with Nia in his arms! I however was not so efficient. In the scorching sunshine we did a few portraits with the coastline in the background. At the end of the shoot I hung around to get a few scenic shots that I may just hang on my wall at home. My job is the best! Here are some highlights for you – enjoy!
