OLDWALLS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
When I first met Abby & Greg I knew their wedding was going to be amazing, I also knew I was going to really enjoy being their Oldwalls wedding photographer. They are both such fun loving people and when I asked them what they wanted from their photography, all they said was ‘to capture our party!’ They didn’t want loads of photos of just the two of them (although I managed to persuade them to have a few) they just wanted to enjoy their day with their guests and have one hell of a party.
I’ve never photographed a wedding before where straight after the ceremony the bride heads to the bar with her bridesmaids for a shot but now I know Abby & Greg this is completely normal!
The day started off blowing an absolute gale and pouring with rain, but that didn’t dampen the mood what so ever. Abby was extremely relaxed in the morning while getting ready which made it so easy to photograph her. Abby’s Dad drove her to Oldwalls in his BMW and Jake (Abby & Greg’s Son) was there to greet her.
The ceremony got under way and when pronounced Man & Wife by the registrar the newly married couple marked the moment with a high five to which all the guests applauded.
While the guests headed into the venue for drinks and canapĂ©s, the sun finally came out and with some spectacular golden light we gathered all family members for the group shots which didn’t take long, then it was straight back to the party – and more shots!
After some fantastic food, the speeches got under way much to Greg’s embarrassment and then the couple cut the cake. Now it was time for the real party to get under way. After their first dance Abby & Greg danced their socks off with their guests and Abby even had everyone from her hen night re-enact the dance to BeyoncĂ©’s ‘All the single ladies’ it was fantastic!
