Pre Wedding Shoots are an ideal opportunity to get a feel of what it’s like being in front of the camera on your wedding day. If you’re quite anxious or nervous about having your photo taken, (which many people are) I would suggest having a pre wedding shoot to put your mind at ease. You’ll get lovely casual photos, and some couples use these photos in the wedding itself to really personalise their day. It will help you relax on your day as well.

Sioned and Sam live in Bermuda, but originally Sioned is from Dryslwyn and Sam is from Amersham. I met them last year when they were over making arrangements for their wedding and we hit it off straight away. They actually get married tomorrow (Saturday May 20th 2017) and will be having their reception at Aberglasney Garden‘s in Llangathen. They were totally up for a pre wedding shoot as part of their wedding package and we did it yesterday as that was the only time they could do.

It was so lovely to go to the venue and have a look around – the setting is breathtaking there’s so many great spots for photos and even some sheltered spots if it rains. The house at Aberglasney is a grade 2 listed building and sits beautifully within the grounds. After the shoot we stopped off at a spot of a castle that Sioned can see from her parents house and she calls it her castle – I LOVE THAT!

When I’m on a pre wedding shoot I make it as relaxed as possible by not rushing through shots, chatting about what ever comes to mind, and just taking the time to get to know you a little better. As a wedding photographer you’re a big part of a wedding day and it really does help when you and the couple feel that you can just be yourself.

I’m really excited for Sioned and Sam’s wedding tomorrow I just know they’re going to have the best day. Here’s some highlights from their shoot.

If you’d like to book a couples shoot get in touch and we can start planning!
