OCEAN VIEW WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | SANDRA ACE
Oh My Goodness I have shamefully not blogged a Wedding in almost a year. A whole year! So I really need to get showing off some of the amazing weddings I captured in 2015 within South Wales. First up on the blog is Jonny & Chloe who got married in the stunning setting of Ocean View in the Gower, Swansea in February.
As soon as I met Chloe at a Wedding Fayre in Cardiff I knew I had to be the photographer for her wedding! She and Jonny handmade every little (and big) detail for their day and their theme was just an explosion of colour and polka dots it was stunning! Jonny is a joiner by trade so he made a bench for their home which they had all the guests to sign, he also made a huge SHAFTO sign for their reception (Shafto is their married name in case you’re wondering) which was a huge hit with their guests, he also made all the table names, the seating plan, the placemats which were given out as favours it was amazing to see so much time, effort and skill go into making their wedding so personal and their guests were completely wowed by their efforts too.
Chloe’s Bridesmaid made their wedding cake which they only saw for the first time on the day and Chloe’s Nan made a batch of the most amazing welsh cakes I’ve ever tasted for their Canapés – (thanks Chloe for letting me take some home too!)
Jonny entered the ceremony room to his own music and when the time came for the guests to sit for the wedding breakfast the top table were announced in in pairs also to their own music and dance routine.
We stopped off at Weobley Castle before the winter sun started to go down for some lovely romantic portraits and also had some great fun with hats and scarves which really make Chloe & Jonny’s photos impeccably unique.
Just before their first dance their good friend Steve performed a song which he’d written about the couple which was fantastic, and then they put on a silent disco with his ‘n’ hers playlists that the guests could switch between. Having never been to a silent disco before, I didn’t really know what to expect but needless to say as with the rest of their wedding it was a huge success and everyone, and I mean everyone, took part and had a great time!
Congratulations Chloe & Jonny your wedding is still up there as one of my all time favourites and I’m so pleased I was able to be your South Wales Wedding Photographer and share the day with you!
